The Art & Music of Naomi Psalm

Check out the new music video that my friend, singer-songwriter-artist Naomi Psalm, just released. The song is called "Ink" and it's off her 4th & most recent cd "Stare". I love how her producer shot this, it's so artistically eye catching, which fits Naomi's personality (she's multi-talented and very creative). She recently hit top of the charts at Reverbnation.

"Naomi Psalm, a Florida native, began writing poetry at the age of 8 and playing guitar at 13. She then traveled to 32 countries as a bass player....(by default). quit her job, and flew to Amsterdam to sing in the band, and was told "You'll never be a lead singer". The leader offered her a job playing the tambourine...(no joke), but she decided that bass was a better fit. She took those negative words to mean....GAME ON WOMAN!! Her outlet, has always been anything creative. As an intense feeler type, she finds writing songs as a way of figuring life out. You will no doubt find yourself in her lyrics. An honest sound that stirs yearning. Soft anthems that are neither complacent or defiant. Songs that feel like silence held in a gorgeous roar. These are the emotions written into every line penned."

You can find Naomi's music on-line at Facebook, Reverbnation, YouTube, and at local music stores like The Record Exchange & the Book Cellar in Boise, Idaho. Naomi is also a painter...check out her art on her website! She has also recently teamed up with myself and Lukas Evergreen for live avant-garde performances of music, dance, and painting.
